Four chefs and a mixologist from Charlotte head to New York for an April 16 “Taste of Charlotte” dinner at the James Beard House. Bonterra’s Blake Hartwick, Heritage’s Paul Verica, The Asbury’s Chris Coleman and Ashley Boyd, pastry chef at both 300 East and Heritage, will put together a five-course meal focusing on the South’s foodstuffs, including Springer Mountain Farms chicken. And Bob Peters from The Punch Room will be doing drinks (count on locally produced spirits to appear) for the event, for which tickets aren’t yet on sale.
